MicroFlex®, a provider of flexible workspace solutions, is opening its newest location at 3890 Douglas Way.  MicroFlex® properties are designed to meet the evolving needs of modern businesses and individuals, especially those seeking smaller, easily adaptable multi-function spaces with flexible lease terms.

The new Hoover area facility, which is scheduled to open in February 2026, will offer 30 flexible workspaces totaling 37,500 square feet ranging in size from 1,250 – 1,550 square feet. Multiple units can be combined to accommodate larger users.

“We developed the concept when we realized — almost by accident — that there was a huge unmet demand for smaller, multifunctional office-warehouse spaces with shorter, more flexible lease terms,” said MicroFlex® co-founder Andy Sink. “There are so many businesses that don’t need traditional larger spaces, which typically start around 3,000 square feet and come with long lease commitments. The market for space is far more expansive and fluid than it used to be. Honestly, even we’ve been surprised by the response.”

Microflex® spaces can be used for everything from an office for creatives, to contractor space, light assembly and warehouse space, fulfillment hubs for an ecommerce business, showrooms, and sports training.  It can even be used as a place to store a car collection, recreational vehicles, or as other hobby space.

They have high ceilings, grade level roll up doors, restrooms, ample parking, are fully air conditioned, and can be customized with additional improvements such as small enclosed offices and mezzanine space.

This will be fourth Microflex® location in Alabama. It has locations in Auburn/Opelika, in Irondale, which opened in 2024, and one in Huntsville also scheduled to open in February.
